Subaru Plant
The Subaru facility in Lebanon, Indiana required 14,000 tons of No. 53 stone for the foundation sub-base to be delivered, graded, and compacted during a 3-1/2 day window. The imi Aggregates – Stony Creek Stone Quarry in Noblesville, Indiana was tasked with providing stone during this quick turnaround portion of the project.
Project Overview
In order to accomodate the tight 3 1/2 day schedule of this portion of the project, the imi Aggregates – Stony Creek location opened 1 1/2 hours early to ensure the initial deliveries would be ahead of rush hour traffic. Loaders, scale house operators, and sales representatives were on the job early and in constant communications to make sure the deliveries were on time. There were 35 loaded trucks on the job site at the start of each day.
This was made possible through relationships with a number of independent trucking companies who sent trucks throughout the 3-1/2 day delivery to meet the project’s schedule. Through this collaboration, imi was able to supply 700 deliveries of stone to the construction site in 3-1/2 days.
